We had a great stay! Staff are warm and welcoming, rooms were clean. Hotel is just a 5 minute walk from the metro station which makes it easy to get from place to place. We had a late flight on the way home, Antonio looked after us whilst we waited for our airport transfer! Nothing was too much trouble for any staff.

Just back from our 4 night stay. After our white knuckle ride from the airport at 1am, we were left outside in the alleyway. I'm a taxi driver and I would've made sure my passengers went in safely. Nothing to do at all with the hotel btw and the hotel was locked up securely which was comforting. (Once in) A quick note to everyone, I was pushing the intercom but the actual buttons are either side of where you'd think so push the small buttons either side. The night receptionist came out to meet us because I had found the right button on the wrong gate. Once in, everything good then got the city tax, 48 euros. My fault, I thought it was included in the booking but we did only book a week before so my bad. The room. Very adequate for our needs, literally a place to rest in between busy days. Very clean and cleaned every day to a high standard including bed sheet changes, floor and towels. Very happy. Breakfast. Simple yet sustainable to start your day. Cereal, toast, cold meat, cheese, Scrambled egg, sausage (continental) pastries. Coffees and juice. Other options available but us British never like to ask. (Fried eggs and hot pizza if you ask). The hotel. It's urban so it's just off a busy road, however once in, it's so clean with lemon trees, different plants and plenty of seating, very pretty and relaxed. Staff. This is what makes this hotel. Everyone you pass greets with bonjourno or ciao and a smile. Always working but say a hello, wether it's maintenance, cleaners, dining or reception staff. Helpful advice on the metro or places to eat from the reception staff and thank you for speaking English as we only know ciao in Italian. Staff amazing 👏 Location. Ribibbia is the last stop. Easy getting back. Metro is either line A or B. Buy a pass (we got a Roma pass) 4 nights, 2 people, Breakfast, very clean rooms, great staff and a 30 minute train to Rome centre £600 for 4 nights including flights and parking at Gatwick. Bargain I'd say. Lidl just 5 minutes away too. Thank you Urban Garden Hotel, perfect for us. Ps, grab a snack in Central Rome then have dinner at Mozzico, 10 minute walk from the hotel. Great food, great service and a great atmosphere. Closed Mondays :-(

The reception and hospitality staff were absolutely brilliant! So kind and generous, and everyone was very welcoming and the Reception and management team spoke such good English. The rooms were very clean and I had heavy luggage so was kindly given a room on the ground floor which was great, they even let me stay and use the hotel lobby to work from after check out. The hotel manager Alberto even gave me a lift to the main train station enroute to his other hotel.

After reading the reviews on here, me and my partner were a little dubious about how our stay in Rome would pan out. However, we quickly realised that many of the reviews could not be more wrong! On arriving at the hotel, we found all of the staff to be extremely friendly / helpful, immediately telling us all the important info we would need for our trip around Rome (highlighting metro lines / metro passes/ offering to help us book tours of the attractions). The hotel also has a little bar area which sells soft drinks / alcohol and very cheap coffees compared to the prices within the centre of Rome. On getting to our room, we did notice that the room didn’t have a separate window, however there is a small window located on the door but we didn’t feel like this massively impacted us due to the air con being one of the best systems I’ve ever had in a hotel, plus the fact that the door opens up onto a nice seating area. Numerous times throughout our stay we would just open up the door while getting ready and found this was an easy solution for the no window situation! Many reviews also mention the bathrooms. We did find after the first night that the bathroom got stuffy / smelt a little but we then realised that after showering, if we left the light / fan on and just shut the door, the smell was pretty non existent. As for the rooms, for the price paid, I was pleasantly surprised by how nice our room was. The bed was comfy and the reception staff had no issue with giving us an additional pillow upon asking. As for noise, we must have been lucky as we heard absolutely nothing throughout the night, even with the hotel being situated next to a fairly busy road! 5 minutes up the road is a Lidl which we found handy for buying toiletries / snacks. Also 5 minutes up the road is the metro line. It cost us €24 each for a 7 day metro pass which we could use to go anywhere within Rome. With the metro station Rebibbia being the first / last stop on the line, we found it extremely easy to navigate ourselves to the right metro stops. The metro also had direct links to the colosseum, Circus Maximus and other stops along the way which dropped us off at the quieter areas within Rome. Upon leaving, we were unfortunate enough to have a transfer bus which decided not to pick us up and the receptionist could not have been more helpful in ringing the transport company for us / querying where the bus was and then ultimately arranging a taxi for us. Overall, we could not fault any of our stay at Urban Garden and would return again if we decided to return to Rome!

Location was good as this hotel is situated near a metro line , daytime staff were very nice, however, the night porter is so rude and unhelpful that we tried to avoid him at all times. He needs to get some people skills, we were a little late getting back one night and he made us feel like he didn't want to let us in while barking questions at us at the gate. Another night our key card wouldn't work and I had to ask him to re program it and it was and it was an interrogation as to why it wouldn't work and what I had done to it... We stayed there for a week and after the 2nd night we didn't go to the bar anymore as he was there and didn't want to deal with customers. Its such a pity because he influenced our thoughts on the hotel...
